Peppered Strawberries

Ingredients: 

10 Strawberries, sliced
Juice from ½ Orange
Juice from ½ Lemon
2 tbsps Butter
¼ cup Sugar
1 Pound Cake, sliced
Ground Pepper
Bénédictine Liqueur (or a fine cognac)
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (Black Spoon Café & Pastry Shop)

Method: 

Melt butter in a medium-sized saucepan over medium–high heat, add sugar, and squeezed orange and lemon juice. Cook 2–4 minutes and add strawberries. Cook another 1–2 minutes. Add 20 turns from a fresh ground pepper mill. Add liqueur to flambé. Pour over sliced pound cake and top with ice cream.
