reachAbility is a not-for-profit organization that provides free grassroots programming to ensure that everyone in the HRM has equal opportunities for employment, education and community life. Our programs and services are always free of charge and inclusive of, not exclusive to, persons with disabilities. Meaning, reachAbility is dedicated to equalizing the playing field for all clients facing barriers.
As one of our many projects aimed at encouraging inclusion and disability awareness, reachAbility has recently launched a pop up shop – known as 100% or The 100% Store – a social enterprise featuring items hand made by local artists and some our own clients. Items include ornaments, t-shirts, tote bags, even a children’s book written by some of our former clients (which was this year added to the approved curriculum for Nova Scotia Public Schools). We also carry exclusively the Courthouse Cards collection; beautiful ink drawings of Nova Scotia’s rural and at-risk courthouses, capturing their essence at this critical time in history. New items will be added as the store evolves.
The 100% pop up shop is so named because 100% of proceeds of this social enterprise go directly back to charity, providing grassroots programming to local organizations.
