Parker Farm offers certified, provincially inspected, Free Range Chicken and Turkey. Our animals are raised on grass and grains we plant, grow, harvest and grind ourselves so you know exactly what’s in your food. From start to finish we raise our family’s food and yours and believe you can taste the Parker Farm Free Range difference.
During the day our beautiful chickens and turkeys roam their pastures enjoying daily access to fresh air, sunlight, grass and soil. At night they make their way back to the barn where they pick and choose where to rest in their spacious open pens. Parker Farm is family owned and operated with my father and I being third and fourth generation farmers. We continue to farm on the same principles my great grandfather did years ago "simple country living, taking pride in what we do and always doing what is best for our animals, our farmland and our family”.
We sell seasonally at the Halifax Seaport Farmer’s Market from July 1 to December 1 offering fresh Free Range Parker Farm Whole Chickens for 3.50 per lb. Speciality orders and cutting is available. In addition to our livestock, we have a small scale maple syrup operation. When the snow begins to melt and the days begin to warm you can be sure on any given day to see us collecting sap with buckets on the rolling hillside of our farmland. Our Maple Syrup is available seasonally while quantities last.
