Espresso Rubbed Sirloin Steak

6 - 8 oz Sirloin Steaks
Dry Rub
1 tbsp Fine Ground Espresso
1 tsp Kosher Salt
1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
1 tbsp Brown Sugar
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp Paprika
½ tsp Chili Powder
1 tbsp Montreal Steak Spice


  • Coat steak with olive oil
  • Sprinkle dry rub liberally on both sides
  • Heat cast iron pan (works best) **no oil in pan
  • Cook coated steak 3 minutes per side (this will result in a medium rare)
  • Allow steak to rest 2 minutes before cutting
  • Slice steak on bias against the grain

Serve immediately

Goes great with roasted potatoes and grilled zucchini (as seen in photo)
