Maple Squash

3 lb (1.25kg) winter squash
3 Tbsp (45mL) butter
1/3 cup (75mL) pure maple syrup
1/2 tsp. (2mL) salt


  1. Preheat oven to 350º F(180ºC).
  2. Wash exterior of squash and cut squash in half. (Do not remove the skin).
  3. Bake until tender.
  4. Scoop out the pulp. Add butter, salt and maple syrup. Beat well and place in a greased casserole dish.
  5. Bake at 350º F(180ºC)  for 40-45 minutes.
