Maple Syrup Pie

8-10 servings


1 1/2 cups (375mL) pure maple syrup
1 cup (250mL) whipping cream
1/3 cup (75mL) cornstarch
1/4 cup (50mL) cold water
1- 9 inch (23 cm) baked 1 single pie crust


  1. In a saucepan, combine maple syrup and cream.
  2. In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in the water, add to maple mixture, stir until well blended.
  3. Over medium heat bring the maple mixture to a boil, cook for 2 minutes stirring constantly until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and pour into baked piecrust, cool until set.
  5. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
