Molten Lava Chocolate Orange Cake

1 ¾ cup Unsalted Butter
¾ cup Dark Chocolate
2 Whole Eggs
2 Yolks
7/8 cup Icing Sugar
⅓ cup All Purpose flour
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
3 tbsp Orange Liqueur
½ cup Dark Chocolate


  • Whip egg yolk and whole eggs together- until pale colour
  • Melt the dark chocolate and butter in double boiler or microwave, let cool, and add orange liqueur
  • Mix in the egg, icing sugar and chocolate together, and then fold in the flour
  • Divide the batter evenly among six greased ramekins
  • Bake in 350°F oven for 12 minutes
  • The edges should be firm but the centre will be runny
  • Run a knife around the edges to loosen and serve on dessert plates
  • Melt chocolate in microwave and use as paint on cakes
